The surroundings of Tiveden offer an enormous number of beautiful hikes and trails, both in the national park and in the many surrounding nature reserves. All paths are well-marked with colors, symbols, signs, arrows, or ribbons. The area is both wild and magical. Large boulders, old trees, and winding streams. There are countless beautiful roads and paths through nature. Of course, there is also culture to discover with hidden spots and villages.​

Think about Allemansrätten, which is like 'everyman's right' and what applies when you go out into nature. In a nutshell, this means that Sweden wants everyone to have the freedom to enjoy nature, but with the obligation to behave respectfully!

At the campsite reception, we are happy to assist and inform you. We have maps of the surrounding area, among other things. The main entrance to the national park, which is centrally located in the park, has a visitor center. Information points and maps are also available at the Vitsand and Ösjönäs entrances. At these three entrances, you can also park your car, camper, or bike and begin your hike.

Clothing tips: Long pants and something with long sleeves are recommended, and above all, sturdy hiking boots. The trails in Tiveden’s nature are hilly and uneven due to roots, stones, moss, but also footbridges and planks to go on. Additionally, the forestbottom can be very wet.
